The basics on how quotes, pricing, deposits, and rescheduling work with Cardinal Moving.

This goes directly to Renee, no forwarding, no queue — she or Victor calls back the same day with a crew size and hourly rate already worked out for your Central Jersey move, not a range you'd have to confirm later.

Using this website

This website belongs to Cardinal Moving, an owner-operated moving company based in Edison, New Jersey. The content here — service descriptions, pricing ranges, and area information — is provided to help you understand what we do and how to book a move. It’s general information, not a binding quote; your actual price is set after Darnell Osei completes an in-home estimate.

Quotes and pricing

Local moves are billed hourly based on crew size, and long-distance moves are priced based on load and distance. Rates listed on this site reflect our standard pricing but can change; the number Darnell gives you at your in-home estimate is the one that applies to your booking. A $150 deposit is required to hold a move date and is credited to your final invoice.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Plans change. Call the office as soon as you know a date needs to move, and Renee will work with you to reschedule. Deposits are generally transferable to a new date within a reasonable window; ask about specifics when you call, since it can depend on how close the original date was.

Licensing

Cardinal Moving is registered with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs as a Public Mover and Warehouseman for local moves, and operates under US DOT and interstate MC operating authority for moves that cross state lines.

Seven Years Writing Estimates For A Van Line Taught Victor The One Rule Worth Keeping

Same Rule Since 2015: Whoever Quotes It Shows Up To Move It

“I spent seven years writing estimates for a big regional van line, and the truck that actually showed up on moving day was almost never mine — a dispatcher just handed the job to whoever was free that morning. Families would open the door to three guys working off a sheet of paper instead of the walkthrough notes I'd taken myself, and the surprises that caused always landed on the customer, never on us. I started Cardinal Moving in 2015 on one rule: whoever writes your estimate is on the truck the day you move.”

The Crew That Quotes It Is The Crew That Moves It.

The person who prices your move is the same person whose name is on the truck. Victor started Cardinal Moving in 2015 after seven years writing estimates for a van line that handed every job to whoever was free that morning — so now the crew you meet at the walkthrough is the crew that shows up on moving day, every time, no swap-ins.
