Short-Term Storage in Edison, NJ

Flat-rate short-term storage in our own Edison warehouse — not a subleased unit across the county line.

This goes directly to Renee, no forwarding, no queue — she or Victor calls back the same day with a crew size and hourly rate already worked out for your Central Jersey move, not a range you'd have to confirm later.

Closing dates slip, new leases don’t line up with move-out dates, and sometimes the gap between one place and the next is two weeks instead of zero. Cardinal Moving stores short-term loads in our own warehouse on Woodbridge Avenue in Edison — not a subleased unit at a public storage facility across the county line that a different company’s truck has to drive to. Whatever the crew loads at your old address goes straight into our building, and the same crew pulls it back out when the new place is ready.

Storage is priced flat rather than by the cubic foot or by a rented-unit tier, so you know the number before anything goes into the warehouse. It’s built for the short gap — days to a few weeks — between move-out and move-in, not long-term storage measured in months, and we’ll tell you honestly if your timeline is better served by a different arrangement.

Because it’s our building, there’s no separate hand-off to a storage company’s staff and no re-inventory by people who didn’t load the truck in the first place. What goes in is what comes out, moved by the same crew both times.

What This Service Runs

Crew size sets your hourly rate — $135/hr for two movers, $175/hr for three, $215/hr for four — or if you'd rather have a firm number before move day, Darnell can walk the place first and write one up

That hourly rate covers the truck, dollies, furniture pads, and shrink wrap — nothing billed separately: $135 for two movers, $175 for three, $215 for four, and $45/hr for each mover beyond that. A $150 deposit holds your date and comes straight off the final invoice. Basic released-value protection rides along at no charge on every job, and Renee will walk you through full-value coverage when she books your date if the higher payout ceiling is worth it to you.

“I gave them a call to move my gun safe from my storage to my new place. I have called several other places and felt that they were not competent for the job. I had used this company before and they were amazing everything was handled with care and I would definitely use them again or refer them to others.”

Service Questions, Answered

Where is my stuff actually stored?
In Cardinal Moving's own warehouse on Woodbridge Avenue in Edison — we don't sublease space at a public storage facility.
How is short-term storage priced?
Flat rate, not by cubic foot or storage-unit size, so you know the cost before anything gets loaded in.
How long can I store my things?
It's built for the short gap between move-out and move-in — typically a few days to a few weeks. If you need months, we'll talk through whether that's the right fit.
Does someone else handle my things once they're in storage?
No — the same Cardinal Moving crew that loads it in is the crew that pulls it back out, no separate storage-facility staff involved.
Can I use storage without booking a full move?
Yes, short-term storage can be booked on its own or as part of a local or long-distance move.

Google, Yelp, Angi, Thumbtack — The Rating Holds Steady Across All Four

Timing varies — the truck's barely left Woodbridge Avenue when some reviews go up, while others land weeks later once the last box is unpacked. What doesn't vary is the number itself: check Google against Yelp against Angi and they land within a few tenths of each other.

The Crew That Quotes It Is The Crew That Moves It.

The person who prices your move is the same person whose name is on the truck. Victor started Cardinal Moving in 2015 after seven years writing estimates for a van line that handed every job to whoever was free that morning — so now the crew you meet at the walkthrough is the crew that shows up on moving day, every time, no swap-ins.
