Somerset isn’t its own town on paper — it’s the unincorporated heart of Franklin Township, spread along Route 27 and up against the I-287 corridor, where corporate office parks sit a few minutes from newer residential developments and townhome communities. That mix means Cardinal Moving sees everything here: a professional relocating for a job near the Route 287 office corridor, a family moving into a newer development, a downsizing move out of a longtime Franklin Township home.
Because Somerset spans Franklin Township’s sprawl rather than a single dense downtown, drive routes and parking vary block to block, which is why Darnell’s in-home walkthrough matters as much here as anywhere else we work. The same crew he books stays on the job start to finish. Hourly local rates run $135/hr for two movers, $175/hr for three, and Somerset sits comfortably inside our Somerset County service area, a straightforward drive from our Edison office.
What a Somerset Move Costs
Two movers runs $135/hr, three is $175/hr, four is $215/hr — or skip the math and have Darnell walk the place first, so you're booking off a written number instead of a guess
A split-level in Somerset and a third-floor walk-up a few towns over don't price out the same way, which is exactly why Darnell sees the place before we lock in a crew size. Basic released-value protection rides along free on every job, a $150 deposit is credited straight to your final invoice, and a fifth mover onward adds $45/hr.
